happy new year! i hope 2005 is wonderful for you.
i had a pretty sleepless night. it’s super windy (cold, from the north) and it’s been shaking the house all night. plus daechen was a little restless and my mind was even more restless.
i don’t really do new years resolutions, but i did spent the night thinking about the coming year. we are house-sitting until the end of may, which is fantastic. we’re able to live with just me working, but barely. we’ve got (like just about everyone else in the united states) debt up to our ears. and our income barely exceeds our bills. i was trying to come up with some way for us to make a little income on the side. i thought a few things, but mostly i’m just stressed about having to pay rent again...
of course, that is six months away and maybe some big break will come along before then. any ideas?

happy new year to you and your family!
we needed some more money coming in early 2004 and i started looking around the house to sell some (mostly unused or unloved) stuff on ebay. it paid for a pair of shoes for the little one and some bills. i hope you figure something out.

i’ve heard it said that moving three times is like having a fire in your house. you lose or get rid of as much stuff as you would a fire. i think that’s pretty accurate. we don’t have very much stuff, but we might be able to find something. thanks for the suggestion.
