Yeah. I switched it up a bit. It was time for a change of scenery. It’s kind of a punk rock meets buddhism look. That “thing” in the logo is a mandala, so is the hand gesture in the bottom graphic (on the main page).
As for the missing navigation, those items are now gone. The about section was silly and never updated. The exit page was a good idea but never updated. The gui (graphical user interface — pronounced gooey) items were kind of cool, but old and never updated for the new operating systems. If one is clever one can find the other “missing” items, but I’m not providing a link to them for now. Maybe later.
I wanted to clean house, remove some of the old cobwebs. It felt good, like taking a bunch of clothes and miscellaneous stuff to the thrift store. I almost got rid of the spam collectors comments but couldn’t bring myself to do it. Sometimes I do have some nice people saying meaningful (i.e. complimentary) things. I appreciate them and feel that’s the edge over writing in my notebooks. It’s what makes the internet great and a weblog worthwhile.
You might also have noticed that I’m typing properly. It reads much easier and isn’t really that much harder. (If you get email from me, don’t expect it to look all pretty.) My pinky finger doesn’t like to reach for the shift key, so generally it doesn’t. However, this is about as close to being published as I’ll ever hope and it should look nice. When I go back through the archives I notice that I prefer the posts where sentences and proper nouns are capitalized. Some typography person could probably tell me why, but it seems to be something ingrained in my psyche.

Nice redesign, Tom. Do you have an RSS feed, though?

Thanks. I don’t have an RSS feed. I took it out of the code when I fist started using Moveable Type. I should put it back in one of these days. I’ll post about it when I do.
