submit, cgi, and how...

if i don’t stay in constant contact with a skill i lose it very quickly. i remember once hearing that you lose something like 80% of the information you learned in a school year within the first month of summer vacation. (this is one of the big arguments for a year-round school system).

i’m trying to do a simple little form on the threepaths.org website. it’s like rocket science, but funny things is — i’ve done it before.

once i heard this teaching

once i heard that the old way was better than the new way,
once i heard that the new way was better than the old way,
once i heard that the new way and the old way were both wrong
once i heard that the new way and the old way were both right
once i heard that the new way came from the old way
once i heard that the new way and the old way were both left
once i heard that people did it a different way
then again, i’m mostly deaf.

investing in our future

Daechen is two weeks old today. She was born on a new moon with a lunar eclipse. Today is a full moon with a very cool lunar eclipse happening as I type.

My boss is into the stock market. Now I’m into the stock market. Google is going nuts (I said it would, he said it wouldn’t). I’d give you the whole list, but all in good time. I like Yahoo! Finance, but I’m sure others are good to. Now go check out a few companies. I’ll tell you why later.

not sure why

It’s not that I don’t want to write anymore. It’s not really that I don’t have time to write. It seems that I just don’t. For whatever reason. At work I’ll have these ideas and think that I’ll run home, take a shower and post something brilliant (for once). But it never quite works out like that.

The baby is amazing. She can really cry though! This morning I got up at 5:55 with them and did a little dancing to try and calm her down. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. This morning I lucked out.

I’ve also been working on getting some Dharma happening here in the Flathead. Bought a domain name and everything. Hopefully it won’t get back-burnered like it has before.

she’s here!

Daechen came into our world on Wednesday October 13th at 7:39am. She is amazing and probably all I will be able to think about for awhile. In fact, I’ve been joking with people that I feel like I have a baby virus that has infected my brain. I don’t cry every time I see her anymore, but for the first couple of days I would get these huge swells of emotion when I looked at her. Pictures and more stories will be trickling in over time...
